A Nigerian boy has sparked reactions online after scoring A1 in all 9 subjects he sat for in the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The student, identified as Nwosu Uchenna Hilary, a student of Chrisland High School, Abuja, recorded the outstanding result after previously scoring 297 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
His father, Nwosu Ezenwa Osunbor, shared the result on Facebook on Thursday, August 6, 2026, expressing excitement over his son’s impressive performance.
According to the result shared online, Uchenna scored A1 in Economics, Geography, Civic Education, English Language, Further Mathematics, General Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Digital Technologies.
His result showed a clean sweep across all nine subjects, with no B, C or lower grade recorded.
Uchenna’s father could not hide his excitement while announcing the academic feat on social media.
He wrote:”My people abeg make una help me see my second son Uchenna Nwosu WAEC !! 9 NO BE 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 I MEAN 9 A1…”
The proud father’s post attracted reactions from social media users, with many Nigerians congratulating the student and praising his academic performance.
The WAEC result came after Uchenna had also recorded an impressive score in the 2026 UTME.
His father revealed that Uchenna scored 297 in JAMB. The combination of a 297 UTME score and nine A1 grades in WAEC has since attracted attention online, with many describing the student’s performance as exceptional.
His father also celebrated his daughter, Chixaram Nwosu, who recorded her own success in the Junior WAEC examination around the same period. “Scored 297 in Jamb!! And my daughter Chixaram Nwosu Junior WAEC!! Is God not faithful,”he added.
