According to the burial arrangements announced by Jide Kosoko, a lying-in-state ceremony was scheduled at the Pavilion in Ilaro, while burial prayers were also announced by the Ilaro Muslim community. The actor is being buried according to Islamic rites.

The Ogun State Government has described Ogogo’s death as a monumental loss to the state and Nigeria’s creative industry.
The government praised him for his contribution to Yoruba culture, noting that he remained a proud ambassador of Ilaro and helped preserve Yoruba language, traditions and values through film, theatre and television.
