The Council of Legal Education (CLE) has announced a list of institutions accredited to offer Law in Nigeria, and law students are being advised to check whether their university is included.

For anyone studying Law with the ambition of becoming a legal practitioner, accreditation is extremely important.

A student may spend years studying Law, only to discover that their institution does not have the necessary accreditation for its graduates to proceed to the Nigerian Law School.

This could have serious implications for students whose ultimate goal is to qualify and practise as lawyers in Nigeria.

🔎 Check Your University

If you are currently studying Law or planning to apply for Law, take a moment to check the official list of accredited institutions and confirm that your university is included.

If your institution is not on the approved list, students are advised to seek clarification from the relevant authorities and consider their available options before making major academic decisions.

Don’t wait until graduation before finding out. Your university’s accreditation status matters.

📌 Law students, check the attached list and let us know your university in the comments.
