The Federal Ministry of Education, Department of Scholarship Awards has announced the 2027/2028 Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) nomination exercise for qualified Nigerian university graduates.
The scholarships are tenable in the United Kingdom and cover two major categories:
🔹 One-year taught Master’s programme
🔹 Doctoral programme of up to three years
Who Can Apply?
For Master’s applicants, candidates must have at least a Second Class Upper (2:1) in their first degree.
For Doctoral applicants, candidates must have:
* A relevant Master’s degree
* At least a Second Class Lower in their first degree
* Admission into at least two UK institutions
* A supporting statement from a prospective UK supervisor
* Evidence of NYSC
Applicants are encouraged to consider development priority areas such as Education, Health, Engineering, Science & Technology, Governance, Climate & Environment, Water & Sanitation, Food & Nutrition, Economic Growth, and other listed fields.
Application Deadline
According to the notice, completed applications must be submitted online on or before 20 October 2026.
Applications are to be made through the Electronic Application System (EAS), with relevant academic documents and other required materials uploaded.
