As admission processing continues, candidates may see different messages on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). Each status represents a different stage of the admission process.
Here’s what they mean 👇🏾
🟢 Recommended — Eligible
Your institution has recommended you for admission, and the process is progressing.
🟡 Proposed — Sent to JAMB
An admission has been proposed and sent to JAMB for further processing.
🔵 In Progress — Processing
Your admission is still being processed. No final admission decision has been recorded yet.
✅ Admitted — Accept or Reject
Congratulations! 🎉 You have received an admission offer. Log in to JAMB CAPS to accept or reject the offer.
🔴 Not Admitted — Keep Checking
This means no admission offer has been recorded for you at the time of checking. Don’t panic! Admissions can be released in batches, so keep checking.
📌 Important for Candidates
If you’re still awaiting admission, regularly check both your JAMB CAPS and your institution’s admission portal for updates.
Seeing “Not Admitted” does not necessarily mean the admission process is over. Your status can change as institutions continue processing and uploading admission lists.
